Dr. Virant offers longer than traditional appointments so she can understand all the factors affecting patients’ health. Keeping in mind individual patients’ goals and priorities, she will help integrate lifestyle changes and evidence-based medicine to help you live your healthiest life.
The concierge model allows Dr. Virant to get to know you and tailor your care to meet your needs. Familiarity is essential to good care, and by drastically reducing the number of patients that she is seeing per day, Dr. Virant can become more familiar with individual patients.
Dr. Virant is board certified in Internal Medicine and has managed the demands of a high volume practice for over 21 years at Duly Health and Care. She brings this knowledge, experience and expertise to you in a smaller, more approachable practice.
Dr. Virant truly cares about each individual patient she treats, and believes that being a good listener and investigator is as important as having a solid foundation of knowledge. By integrating the specific needs of an individual with current evidence-based medicine, she will help you live your healthiest life. And it’s easy to connect with her through in-person, phone, and video appointments.
The relationship between doctor and patient is at the center of concierge medicine. As your doctor, she will be with you every step of the way. Dr. Virant’s ultimate goal is to help patients live their healthiest lives through evidence-based medicine and lifestyle modifications.
Dr. Virant has been practicing medicine for over 21 years in the Chicago area. She was named one of Castle Connelly’s “Best Doctors in Chicago” in 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Dr. Virant graduated from Duke University with a BA in Comparative Area Studies, with an emphasis on Japan. After working for a year in public relations in New York City, she decided to go back to school to complete her pre-medical requirements. She completed a post-baccalaureate pre-medical program at Loyola University before attending medical school at Rush Medical College in Chicago. She did an obstetrics and gynecology internship at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu. As part of the internship, she did an internal medicine rotation and fell in love with the specialty. She completed her residency at the Rush/Cook County Primary Care Internal Medicine Program in 2002. Then, she joined Dupage Medical Group where she worked for 21 years. In 2023, she decided to change to the concierge medicine model, and found like-minded physicians at the Affiliated Physicians of Suite 118, and has been practicing with them since.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Virant has helped her husband, an acclaimed chef, open four restaurants. She contributes heavily to the concept development and designs of his restaurants, and they are also currently collaborating on a healthy eating cookbook. They have two sons, who are now in college. With them happily launched, Dr. Virant is excited to devote more time to her patients.
in your concierge membership
This is a membership or concierge model, which allows your doctor to be more available to you. In a traditional practice, physicians may see 18-25 patients per day in very short appointment times. Because these doctors accept fewer patients, you can expect direct telephone access, longer appointments, more personalized care, and shorter (if any) wait times.
She does not participate in insurance plans. Your membership fee will cover all of your appointments with her for the year, and any other calls, texts, and video exchanges you may have.
Membership in a concierge practice is not a substitute for insurance. You will need an insurance plan to cover hospitalizations, medications, imaging studies, laboratory tests (aside from your once per year wellness screening), and all outside specialists.
Let’s meet! If you are new to Dr. Virant, she would like to set up an initial “meet and greet” appointment at no charge. This will be an opportunity to see if you are comfortable with her, and to get a better feel for the value that this service could provide for you. This appointment does not include a medical exam. – An annual wellness exam
– Annual wellness blood tests as determined necessary by the doctor
– An annual screening ECG, if appropriate
– Vaccination administration (vaccine itself to be charged to your insurance)
– Pap smear and breast exam for female patients
– Routine office visits
– Ability to text or call your physician directly
$4000 per year. This is subject to change without notice.
Member’s children ages 18-26 can be added for an additional $1000 per adult child.

Dr. Virant offers appointments in-person, by phone, and by video call. As her patient, you have easy, direct access to care, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
